Officer fatalities have increased by roughly 20 percent in the 2016 year, with more than 60 percent of police deaths resulting from a stun gun related fatality, according to the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund (NLEOMF), a national database that tracks the death toll and injury of police officers anywhere within the U.S.
