Car bumping is a criminal practice in which the perpetrator intentionally causes a minor accident to the victim’s vehicle with the goal of stealing the vehicle. To avoid being a victim of car theft, police recommend that car owners know the location of where they are driving, to remove all valuable items from the car if in an accident, and to exchange information in a well-populated area.
