Use Of Surveillance Cameras To Be Able To Secure Big Open Spaces

April 07th, 2012

Soon after I opened a security agency I got excited the moment the owners of the open-air stadium in our town called us to handle that place. The venue is often used for baseball and football games as well as concerts so it is crucial that tight safety measures be established there.

The first thing on my list was to set up wireless surveillance cameras all over the place. With such a big area to cover having extra eyes would help my security personnel greatly in making certain that the site and the people inside are safe.

Surveillance cameras are utilized for watching subtly over activity in almost any area. These help in capturing troublemakers in the act to ensure that order and also safety is maintained.

I selected a 16 channel wireless DVR system to cover all portions of the stadium. This system included a standalone 16 channel DVR 12 day/night color wired bullet cameras 4 day/night color wireless bullet cameras with matching 2.4 GHz video receivers video cables and a 17-inch LCD screen.

What I love regarding surveillance camera systems is that they include everything required to carry out surveillance. Furthermore the fact that everything comes in a bundle eliminates the trouble of locating and buying each piece one by one that can be complicated and a total waste of time and money.

The embedded DVR feature allows videos to be watched realtime on the web so that the stadium owners can keep track of activity wherever they choose. It is good to also have day/night cameras simply because these have the capability to record even in low light conditions.

Having a mix of both wired and wireless cameras is ideal. Wired cameras offer the benefit of a nonstop power supply while wireless types dont have troublesome wires. The latter are commonly powered by an 8-hour rechargeable battery pack making it very easy to move them around.

Bullet cameras are small in size so they can be set up even in difficult-to-reach areas. I remain really sure that installing wireless surveillance cameras all around the town stadium would enhance security tenfold.
